SocioMee is an AI content studio operated by Mee Group, Mumbai, India. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act 2023.
1. Information We Collect
- ✦Account details: name and email address
- ✦Google OAuth profile: name, email, profile photo (with your consent)
- ✦Payment info: processed via Razorpay. We never store card details.
- ✦Content inputs you provide for AI generation
- ✦YouTube channel data you connect via Google OAuth
- ✦Discord, Pinterest, and Telegram connection data you choose to authorize (server/channel details, board and pin data, bot connection info, as applicable to each platform)
- ✦Device info, IP address, cookies, and Google Analytics data
2. How We Use Your Information
- ✦Provide AI content generation services
- ✦Manage your account, credits, and subscriptions
- ✦Process payments via Razorpay
- ✦Send product updates (you can opt out anytime)
- ✦Analyse usage patterns and prevent fraud
- ✦Comply with Indian laws and regulations
We do NOT sell your personal data to anyone.
3. Children's Data
⚠ Important: Under-18 Users
- ✦SocioMee is for users 18 years and older only
- ✦Under the DPDP Act 2023, anyone under 18 is classified as a child
- ✦We do NOT knowingly collect data from users under 18
- ✦If discovered: immediate account deletion, data purge, and parent notification
- ✦No behavioural advertising directed at children
4. Data Sharing & Third Parties
- ✦Google: Firebase authentication and Analytics
- ✦Razorpay: payment processing
- ✦Google Gemini AI: content generation
- ✦Server and hosting infrastructure providers
We do NOT share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
SocioMee also offers an optional connection to Claude, an AI assistant developed by Anthropic, through a feature known as the Model Context Protocol. This connection is established only if you choose to activate it from within Claude's own settings, and it is not enabled automatically for any user.
Once connected, Claude is permitted to access the following categories of information on your behalf: your current subscription plan and remaining credit balance, the history of content you have previously generated through SocioMee including associated topics and titles, and the ability to create a temporary share link for content that you specify during a conversation. Claude is not given access to your password, payment details, or any information beyond what is described here.
You retain full control over this connection and may disconnect it at any time through Claude's settings. Once disconnected, Claude will no longer be able to access any information from your SocioMee account.
5. Your Rights Under DPDP Act 2023
- ✦Right to Access: request a copy of your personal data
- ✦Right to Correction: correct inaccurate personal data
- ✦Right to Erasure: delete your account in Settings → Delete Account (purged within 30 days)
- ✦Right to Withdraw Consent: stop processing at any time
- ✦Right to Nominate: nominate someone to exercise your rights on your behalf (unique DPDP right)
- ✦Right to Grievance Redressal: contact us for any data concerns

6. Data Retention
- ✦Active account data: retained while your account is active
- ✦After account deletion: purged within 30 days
- ✦Payment records: retained for 7 years (Indian tax law)
- ✦System logs: retained for 180 days (CERT-In directions)
- ✦Anonymous analytics: retained indefinitely
7. Cookies
- ✦Authentication cookies: essential for login
- ✦Language preference cookies
- ✦Google Analytics: opt out via your browser settings
8. Data Security
We use HTTPS encryption, secure servers, and strict access controls. In the event of a data breach, we will notify the Data Protection Board within required timeframes.
9. Cross-Border Data Transfers
Your data may be processed on Google servers outside India. This is covered by the DPDP Act 2023 safeguards for cross-border data transfers.
10. Changes to This Policy
Significant changes to this policy will be notified by email or via a platform notice before they take effect.
